Redhill and Reigate YHA Local Group YHA



Who are we ?

We are medium size group with an active membership.  
During the year, the group visits many parts of the country and is involved in many activities.   This gives you the chance to see and do things which are not feasible on your own.

We normally car-share when travelling to Youth Hostels.   At the hostel there is the option of self catering, take hostel meals or join in group catering.

There is no age restriction.   Most of our members are in the 30 to 55 age range with a mixture of individuals and families.   The activities vary depending on the members coming and may include walks to suit different abilities.

What do we do ?

  • Hostel once a month
  • Day and evening walks in the countryside
  • Cycling, rock climbing, canal boating, sailing,
       skiing, orienteering etc
  • Mid week activities include
       quizzes, card games, pub visits, swimming, ten pin bowling
  • Plus any idea suggested by the members

  • What is a YHA Hostelling Group ?

    Local groups are YHA clubs that regularly go youth hostelling and take part in various social events and special activities.   The Redhill and Reigate group is one of over 100 local clubs in England and Wales.
